Performance Eligibility
These discussions center on eligibility law, policies, and procedures to participate in sports activities. Bemiller (2009) noted, "Most courts are reluctant to intervene in the administration of state scholastic athletic associations. They will intercede only in cases where the athletic association does not follow its own rules or its actions are clearly arbitrary, unreasonable, or rise to the level of illegality, fraud, or coercive abuse of power" (p. 12).
