The Self
These discussions center on self-identity in relations to authentic leadership. Lee (2009) noted, "Self-identity is premised on an unqualified belief in the manifold character of a person as rooted in a core or foundation of being. Without this core, self-identity is considered inauthentic, false, or fragile" (p. 35).
