Autonomy
These discussions address the autonomy of physical therapists. "Autonomy has been defined as the capacity to think, decide, and act on the basis of a freely made decision . . . (a) liberty (independence from controlling influences) and (b) agency (capacity for intentional action)" (Townsend, Cox, & Li, 2010, pp. 620-621).
