Higher Education Training Hubs

Subject: AAN: Higher Ed Training Hubs: From Adjunct [Acquiring] to Full-Time to Tenured Professors

8/21/2013

To Scholars Across the Globe:

The Alumni Association Network (AAN) is calling on all leaders of higher education and research institutions to offer a workshop or training to assist adjunct [acquiring] professors transition into a more stable position. There is a lack of information about the qualities and experiences of scholars that hiring managers of higher education and research institutions (also to include Corporate America and Governmental Contractors) are looking for in potential scholastic candidates. In the future, AAN aims to offer assistance with the preparation of scholarly articles through the Scholastic Research Institute (SRI).

Furthermore, a central location(s) needs to be established as the hub(s) where higher education and research seminars, conferences, and workshops may commence. I propose Orlando, FL (USA) or surrounding cities in this state. The sunshine state was selected because of its popularity, scenery, and entertainment. Other U.S. potential locations to establish higher education and research training hubs may include Scottsdale, AZ, Steamboat Springs, CO, Virginia Beach, VA, and Myrtle Beach, SC. A possible international hub (i.e., external of the USA) for training, leaders may consider The Virgin Islands [and Cancun, Quintana Roo]

As part of each session, please consider incorporating technologies into the training. Technologies stimulate and show another way of thinking. For existing external or open higher education workshops, leaders of higher education and research institutions are further encouraged to share with AAN so that the association may distribute the session links (i.e., once) to a diverse group of scholars. Institutional Members of AAN may list their events in the Members only area for the duration of their membership.

In closing, we must remember, education is not an illusion, and what quality education represents is not an illusion, but a reality. For Our Creator said, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge". Thus, as a Global Nation of Scholars, We are the leaders who have been called to ensure nations return to what is fundamental ~ to preserve the people (students), nations, earth, and universe ~ through the process of continuous learning and the sharing of knowledge. To assist with answering the calling, continuous learning platforms and new positions must be established to bridge the gaps. Thank you for your time.
